From Mandy - Oct. 2009

Dear Jackie,
First, I would like to extend my sincere "thank you" fro all of us brides for taking the time to help us out. I am having my wedding in Steamboat Springs, a small town in Colorado. I want my wedding to be modern and up - with- the-times. What I mean is that I want to have a wedding with a modern edge using a color combination that is very 2009. So far, I have taken a great liking to the black and white combinations I have seen in magazines. The issue I am having is a color to compliment this combination. I want a modern color to use on the tables to add a strong color to the black and white, but again something new and edgy. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Dear Mandy,

Thank you so much for your e-mail and your kind words, It is my pleasure to help however I can. I think the black and white combination is such a great starting palette. You can go so many different ways with this combination. It can used for a whispie, garden, rustic, romantic, and definitely edgy and modern wedding as yours is. Black, White, and Red is a great combination and looks amazing put together. You can find many weddings with this combo in recent magazines. Black, white, and Fuchsia and Pinks is beautiful too. It leans a little more towards the "Paris" or "Whispie" look. You can really combine Black and White with Any Color and it would look great, However, I suggest going with a color that is very bright and lively such as Chartreuse Green or Bright Yellow. I think the Green or Yellow together with the Black and White is a great option. It's young, fun, edgy, modern, and up with the times. Here is a picture I found of a Black White and Yellow combination. What do you think?
Happy Planning.

Dear Jackie,

OMG! I love it! I can't stop looking at the picture. This is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect! I had thought of the Black, White, and Red, Pink, or Sea Blue combination but there was something about those combos I was not loving. The Green is super cool too! There is just something about the lemon versus the lime I love so much better lol. I think it was that it didn't have the "punch I was looking for. This is perfect though! I would have never thought I liked yellow. I now find myself loving yellow! Even my FI loves it. Thank you so much. I can't wait to tell my florist and work on re-designing the wedding. I am definitely using this picture as inspiration. Thanks Again.

I'm Siked and So Happy!
